Khabar-e-tahayyur-e-ishq sunn, na junoon raha na pari rahi By Siraj Aurangabadi English Translation

Khabar-e-tahayyur-e-ishq sunn, na junoon raha na pari rahi

Na toh tu raha na toh mein raha, jo rahi so be-khabari rahi

Acquainting with the chronicles of love

Neither remained delirium, nor the darling remained!

Neither you remained nor I was left anymore

Whatever remained, only stupor/oblivion remained!

Shah-e-bekhudi ne ataa kia, mujhay ab libas-e-barahanagi

Na khirad ki bakhiyagari rahi, na junoon ki pardadari rahi

‘Lord of Euphoria’ has bestowed me now

With the attire of nakedness!!!

All the stitched reasons did not remained

Neither the Veil of madness remained!

Chali simt-e-ghaib se aik hava, ke chaman zahoor ka jal gaya

Magar aik shakh-e-nihal-e-gham, jise dil kahe so hari rahi

A wind blew from inconspicuous direction

Burning the garden on its way

But one branch on the tree of grief

Known as heart, it still remained!!

Nazar-e-taghaful-e-yaar ka, gila kis zuban se bayan karoon

Ke sharab-e-sad-qadaah aarzu, khum-e-dil mein thi so bhari rahi

The Indifferent glances of my beloved

How shall I lament/narrate these??

The wine of thousand unspoken desires

Subdued and concealed in heart it remained!

Woh ajab ghari thi mein jis ghari, liya dars nuskha-e-ishq ka

Ke kitab aql ki taaq main, jyun dhari thi tyun hi dhari rahi

That moment was a strange one

When I learnt lessons of love

The book of reason I kept aside

Shelved and untouched it remained.

Tere josh-e-hairat-e-husn ka, asar iss qadar so yahan hua

Ke na aayine main jila rahi, na pari kuun jalva gari rahi

The impact of your marvelous beauty

Left such an influence here(on heart)

Neither the shine of mirror remained

Nor the beauty remained!

Kiya khak-e-aatish-e-ishq ne dil-e-benava-e-Siraj ko

Na khatar raha na hazar raha, magar aik be-khatari rahi

The fire of love has reduced to ashes,

Voiceless heart of Siraj!

Neither fear remained nor the sense of threat

Now only fearlessness has remained!
